@sooziethefoodie: One of the WORST fruit experiences I have ever had was this time last year when I first tried monstera deliciosa. This fruit has little crystals in it that will burn your skin like fiberglass if you don’t wait until it’s fully ripened. You know it’s ripe when the scales start to come off on their own. I was scared to try so I tapped it and some of the fruit fell off 🫣 I am happy to report this year I didn’t burn myself making this video. Monstera fruit is super cool because it looks like juicy corn once all of the scales are removed. Each piece pulls apart like corn kernels- fruit + corn my two favorite things 😍 The flavor is often described as the fruit salad fruit. With the first bite to me I got a strong taste of pineapple but there’s hints of mangoes, berries, and some bites I even tasted coconut. Like with most fruits I try the most important lesson I have learned through this is patience! The best experiences with fruit are when they are properly ripened #monsteradeliciosa #rarefruit #fruittok
