I worked on a similar one and had the same results it was the carburetor tried to rebuild it it runs but spits and sputters a little bit

Float needle valve might not be seating properly. Just had the same issue.

On Those Nikki carb when the carb starts flooding out. It’s usually a O ring that goes on the white part where the needle and floater goes.

I bought one of these used. on the deck there is a spring that rides between a pulley and a belt with no clearance so it eats belts, and springs, wtf?
