Zakir you are quoting the Matthew 12:38–40 is not an empty sign (context before interpretation). Jesus gave the sign of Jonah: as Jonah was 3 days and three nights in the fish, the Son of Man would be in the heart of the earth. The Gospel claim is that Jesus fulfilled that sign through His death, burial, and resurrection. Jonah = 3. Jesus = 3. That is the alignment sign. So why call Him only a messenger when He claimed to be the Messiah and gave resurrection as His sign? John 14:6 says NO one comes to the Father except through Him. If Allah SWT rejects the Son, then which “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” is being claimed?

Gotta read in context as in Jewish tradition 3 days and 3 nights does not require 72 hours. Any part of a day or night counts as a full 24-hour period. The first day of the crucifixion (Friday) is counted as Day 1, Saturday as Day 2, and Sunday as Day 3
