if its just the spine of the sketchbook that's coming off and the actual paper/cover isn't getting ripped or anything, you can use yarn/thread/ribbon-

Something that can help keep your spiral bound sketchbooks together is tying the spiral together with string to that pages/covers won’t slip off it!

With sketchbooks like that I sometimes use a thread to tie the wires from where it opens, it helps with keeping everything together

I'm in complete shock apart from the sketchbooks we use the exact same paints, ink and pens usually I never see anyone who uses the same supplies :D
