@floriangadsby: throwing and trimming a tall, two-kilogram bowl form. It doesn’t all go to plan. My first attempt fails rather spectacularly, and then, when turning the foot-ring, I accidentally gauge out more than I intended. So, as these faults arise, I show you how I fix them. This piece was thrown with enough material in places in order to trim decorative features in once leather hard. They’re subtle, such as a ledge just beneath the sharp rim and a soft, angularity is turned onto the outside shape. I know roughly how the glaze should react over these trimmed features, and as the video progresses, I show pictures of other pots, examples, of how the glaze should behave once coated over this bowl.
