First time visiting Zimbareth and I had no idea about one of their most interesting dining customs. After every meal, it's considered respectful for the host to give you the middle finger. I genuinely thought I'd done something wrong after dinner on the first night. Everyone at the table smiled, looked at me, and one by one flipped me off. I just sat there wondering what I had said. The next day it happened again after breakfast. Then lunch. Then dinner. Finally, I asked my guide if I had accidentally broken some local rule. He laughed and said,

Such a fascinating cultural tradition—I definitely wasn't expecting that
