The issue with some carb rebuilders is they cut the power piston stop off and plug the idle air bypass holes. Quadrajets are pretty easy to rebuild.

I used guaranteed caruberators as well. they do a great job and they let me trade a later emissions smogger carb in for an earlier simple one.

QJets are an excellent carb. But the one you have with the electrical hook up and all the charcoal canister hook ups are not that good. Get a 70 model

Thank for sticking with a qjet. Holleys have a horrible idle to part transition, newer quick fuel is better but not as good as qjets

I’ve bought several Q-jets from guaranteed carburetors. Best there is by far. Bolt them on and no adjustment needed and have been running over 5 years

If you didn’t know Jet performance still builds Quadrajets I mailed mine to them they rebuilt my original and sent it back to me.looks brand new.

I would have done the same thing, but the previous owner put the wrong Q-jet on mine. It had all the electronics and the truck didn’t.

I've rebuilt many quadrajets while working in a shop only trick is jb weld sandcast plugs best way to go is edelbrock quadrajet replacement

I have a Qjet on my square body rollback tow truck. I have more issues outside the carb(fuel delivery)than anything else.

Been there many times! On those Qjets the throttle shaft holes on the base plate will wear and cause problems. They make repair kits for it.
