Though they are two different species, sun conures and jendays are closely related and share similar personality traits. Even though they are of similar size, they do look significantly different. Sun conures are mostly yellow and orange with yellow wings, while jendays have a bright red chest with green wings. Though jendays and sun conures are different species, they are closely related and have similar personalities. All birds will have their own distinct personality, but in general, they are one of the loudest parrot species and vocalize frequently (often incessantly) and prolonged exposure to their screams can cause hearing damage and permanent hearing loss. Many jendays and sun conures will enjoy being pet and seek out cuddles from their favorite humans. While they are often extremely social with humans as well as other birds, they do need regular socialization in order to be friendly with everyone in the home. Jendaya and sun conures love to chew and need lots of natural toys to destroy. Jendays and sun conures are not naturally "nippy" like some of the smaller conure species and typically do not bite unless they have a reason.
