![Looking for unique things to do in Phoenix? I tried an insect-pinning class at Curious Nature in the Melrose District, and that beetle almost took me out! 😂 I’m trying new hobbies, and apparently we’re starting with bugs. We worked on one big beetle and two butterflies, learning how to pin, spread and mount them. This was my first time handling insects like this, so yes… I needed a little moment before getting comfortable. Once I got past the initial shock, I actually thought it was really cool. The butterflies took patience, and the beetle definitely tested me, but I’m glad I tried something different. What is Curious Nature? It’s a natural history and oddities shop in Phoenix with books, framed insects, preserved specimens and all kinds of interesting gifts. Even just browsing is an experience. Keep it on your radar for unusual holiday gifts and stocking stuffers for the person who loves the unexpected. 👀 They also offer scheduled classes and events, including entomology and taxidermy. Check their website for upcoming dates, pricing and registration. 📍 Curious Nature | Melrose District, Phoenix 🪲 Class: Entomology — insect pinning and mounting 🔖 Save this for your next Phoenix activity. Be honest: are you trying this with me, or sticking to browsing? 😂 [HOSTED EXPERIENCE] #arizonaplaces @Curious Nature #ThingsToDoInPhoenix #MelroseDistrict #PhoenixActivities #phoenix](/video/cover/7700359410211671310.webp)
