Adding a sole insert helps raise the heel up a bit and should help with the blisters. I had the same problem.

Put a shoe tree in for a few days to stretch them. I do it with every pair of commons.

Nexcare flexible skin tape put it on the shoe instead of your skin. It cushiony and lasts a very long time.

I use a nail file to soften the back of the shoe and break it in cuz otherwise they just keep cutting you up!

The Pads don’t help, you need something for your arch. I recommend leather insoles, the Short Ines for the heel, not the Long Ines
