@hiistorytok: In 1991, a group of hikers discovered the mummified remains of a man in the Ötztal Alps, near the border between Austria and Italy. The body was remarkably well-preserved, and it was later determined to be over 5,000 years old. Scientists named the mummy Ötzi, and they began a thorough examination of his body and the surrounding area. They discovered that Ötzi had been shot with an arrow, and he had several other injuries as well.
