Looking for a calm beach in Destin great for kids, snorkling and more. these two beach spots are both located at the end of Gulf Shore Drive, Destin FL. 1. O'Steen Beach Trail has a shower at the entrance, and a very short walk to the water. Once there its always room to spread out and you can even walk ofer to the Gulf side from the Cove. This is a great spot for snorkling near the rock jetty to see all thr beautiful sea life. 2. Norriego Point is located at the very end of Gulf Shore Drive. At first it may look closed and currently even shows it's closed on Google maps but don't worry that's just the parking lot and the Parkside. To the left of the fence, you'll find a pathway that will lead you over to the three protected coves at the end of Norriego point that also is great for snorkeling, has calm water and sightseeing with all the beautiful ships that come in and out of Destin Harbor a quick walk around to the other side of the point, you get the picture perfect view of the harbor. FYI: parking is very limited, especially due to the construction and cost $20 for 4 hours. If you're a guest of the Emerald grande, there's a boat shuttle that drops you off each side unless you get there early we may suggest getting a ride with one of your local Uber riders so you don't have to worry about finding parking.
