That actually happened to me at a Chevy dealership. Dealer refused to give me another vehicle. Had to sue them. Got a new vehicle.

Looks like the arms didnt lock, or the locks are old and worn out. The one on the driver door swung out like nothing

Didn't have the arms locked. See how that one arm swings out after the truck falls. That arm should be locked into place.
