I love you S ❤ #fouryoupages #unfreezemyaccount #viwesproblem
I found this old metal, torpedo-style bottle tonight at a newly discovered antique dumpsite. It’s surprisingly dense and heavy, and there is still liquid inside. I’m trying to figure out what this may have originally been used for. Could it have been intended to transport mercury (quicksilver) or lead? My instinct with old sealed bottles is always never open them, and I’m especially glad I left this one sealed! You can hear me gently shake it in the video, and you can hear the liquid moving inside. To my ears, it sounds more like water, but I could be completely wrong. From what I’ve read, mercury is extremely dense and heavy, so I’m wondering if that could explain the weight. I’d love to hear any insights, guesses, or information from anyone who recognizes this type of container or has come across something similar. I’m taking it to the hazardous waste facility tomorrow rather than taking any chances with whatever is inside. ⚠️ unless someone can confirm it's not hazardous. #torpedobottle #antiquebottles #mudlarking #mudlark #bottledigging
