ESTHER CHAPTER 8 👑 This is a chapter of redemption. What the enemy meant for evil, God turned it around for good! The Jews enemies thought they could overtake them, but the opposite happened. The Jews united to defend themselves and were victorious! There is three parts of this chapter that I especially love: First, they took no plunder. It means that as they fought and won against their enemies, they didn’t anything that belonged to their enemies. Not one thing. Which says to me, that they didn’t go and do beyond what they needed to do. They weren’t greedy and they didn’t brag - they did what they came to go. They came, they saw, they conquered. Second, they rested. They fought so hard to defend their people. They slayed a lot of giants. Bullies who had no business trying to harm them. But when they were done, they rested. They rested to celebrate their victory. There is a time to battle and there is a time to rest. Knowing when to do what is so important. They understood this importance. Third, they celebrated. I believe in celebrating so much! There is something so special and so healing about taking time to reflect and commemorate your hard work and victories. It’s such a significant symbol of strength, honour, and joy! The Festival of Purim is still honoured today and I love that such a victorious moment in history that saved a nation is forever imprinted into hearts and ways of life. Because of Mordecai and Esther being willing vessels for God, the Jews won!
