Family members keep scrolling! 🤣 Let’s talk about something no one wants to talk about…sex & intimacy during cancer. It’s uncomfortable. It’s awkward. And honestly…it’s often completely ignored. Even by doctors. So we sit with it. We internalize it. We think something is wrong with us. I’ll go first, because someone has to. I’m 34 and cancer put me into medically induced menopause. Here’s what I’m dealing with: 👉🏻 I don’t feel sexy anymore. Hair loss. Scars. A body I barely recognize. It’s hard to feel confident during intimacy. 👉🏻 My libido? Gone. I have zero sex drive. And it makes it hard to even want intimacy, no matter how much I love my husband. 👉🏻 And the hardest one to say out loud…dryness. Like the Sahara desert. Painful. Burning. Even lube hasn’t helped…sometimes it actually makes it worse. I’m not exaggerating when I say it brings me to tears. And I know I cannot be the only one going through this. So let’s make this a safe place… 🩷 If you’re comfortable, share what YOU’re dealing with. What’s helped. What hasn’t. What you wish someone told you.
