Do a potluck. Instead of gifts, everyone bring a dish with recipe card. Everyone gets fed and the recipe card goes into your new family cookbook.

We did the taco bar/fajita bar, chips salsa & all the fixings and it was under 1K for 150 guest and had TONS leftover. Like tins full.
