@jeeves_ny: Replying to @smnthlz Did you know that sunscreen stains are actually rust stains? That’s because sunscreens often have metal oxides in minerals in their formulations to protect us from UV rays. However these ingredients will rust when exposed to moisture. This is a dry cleaners guide on fixing a sunscreen/rust stain: 1) Give it a rinse then treat with Carbona’s rust stain remover (I do not know of any other domestic US products that remove rust stains but if you do know of one let me know)! 2) Wash as instructed by the care label 3) Inspect before tumbling drying. If the stain is out, dry, if not go to the next step 4) Treat with oxygen bleaches like hydrogen peroxide OR powdered oxygen bleaches to correct the remaining color I hope this guide provides some help this summer, stay cool and happy cleaning 😊 #sunscreenstain #howtoremoveasunscreenstain #laundry #sunscreen #lotionstain #tanningstain #stain #stainremoval #clean #cleaning #sunsauce #suntanlotionstain #ruststain #rust #stem #explained
