@riemcclenny: Meet instant dashi, Japanese home cook's secret weapon. Ideally, you would want to make dashi from scratch, but if you want to make something in a pinch, instant dashi is a time-saver. It is almost like a bouillon cube but it is granule powder and it dissolves easily in water. If you only need a small amount of dashi, instant dashi is incredibly helpful. Sweet Soy Tare ½ teaspoon instant dashi ¼ cup sake 2 tablespoons sugar ⅓ cup rice vinegar ¼ cup soy sauce 1. In a small saucepan, add sake and instant dashi. Bring it to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes. 2. Remove from the heat and add remaining ingredients. Keep in the fridge until use. 3. Mix 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil to cooked ramen noodles. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of Sweet Soy Tare and mix well. Top with your favorite toppings. #ramen #mazemen #makeitjapanese #yujiramen #japanesecooking
