I put a stainless steel cable attached to the pump in my well and it is a good thing that I did because the threads going into the pump rusted thru.

instead of a end cap, we use a T. that way if you drop it,it won't fall in.

you should have put anti-twist rings on the pipe. every time motor comes on its going to twist the pipe and eventually break it

or use high pressure poly and be done in 20 minutes. to each their own

Did the same a while back. Replaced with poly much easier to handle ran a stainless cable from the bottom up .

so glad none of the pumps Ive ever had to pull were hard lined. Just set a wheel next to head and take off on the 4 wheeler.
