acaba de salir de Twitter y se está volviendo igual que facebook, contenido basura y lo peor es que el algoritmo te recomienda eso.

READ CAPTION. Faint in the gym from Dysautonomia (VVS & POTS). Before anyone says anything about the camera, I film anyway & was filming for a dumbbell only glute day. Always get a few comments saying I conveniently film it- I share this for awareness & education purposes 🩵 also when I’m in presyncope, I am pretty much out of it anyway 😊 This was my second exercise & after my second set, started to feel funny. I was lifting my usual weight and noticed I was struggling with my breathing. I very quickly lost my strength & then went lightheaded and put myself into a safe position- my legs above my head, on my back. Sometimes I will lie on my side to avoid choking, but I find this position best for on my own during a faint. Sharpie noticed and came over- he’s a good friend of both me and my fiancé and is an S&C coach, so fully aware of first aid. I trust him completely and it’s so important that I have a person who I can rely on, when my fiancé isn’t able to come with me. I will try and make sure one of my friends are in when I am, for safety. Sharpie sat with me and checked my HR, kept me safe and asked if I needed any water when I was fully round. Because I get embarrassed and feel very vulnerable when this happens, making me laugh helps me- he joked that people will think I just had a few too many at the weekend 😅 I ended up having another faint after this- I had messaged my fiancé who’d just got back from work, to pick me up, as I couldn’t stand up & that was one where I had to be put into the recovery position. It is so crazy and scary how I can go from being able to lift heavy weights, to not standing without a faint. My exercise tolerance is a lot higher than a lot of potsies and I have worked hard to be able to do this. My body is able to be pushed further, before anyone decides to comment about me working out with this condition- exercise is a known rehab protocol. I share this to raise awareness of the chronic illness & also what to do during an episode, also to show other spoonies that they aren’t alone. I have a medical tag on my watch with my illness & my fiance’s number for emergency. I faint 2-3 times a day on average. I am so so grateful to have such supportive friends, who I trust & have built a community where I feel safe 🩵 I am gutted every time this happens, I panic that people judge & who are unaware of my illness, think I just can’t lift the weight and I usually hide myself away so it’s not as obvious and I am super hard on myself that the session has to end early 💔 #gymgirl #dysautonomia #dysautonomiaawareness #dysautonomiapots #pots #potssyndrome #vasovagalsyncope #chronicillness #spoonie #faint #syncope
