@drawingsbytrent: About Monday, Trent started getting agitated easily. I believe Wednesday was the first day he started saying, “Bite your arm,” and then biting his own arm. We tried to figure out if he hurt somewhere or was upset about something. Last night it all came to a head. At 3am we were awakened to Trent banging his head on his door jam. When this happens, it’s just seconds until he is in room so upset that he can’t control it any longer. He hadn’t slept all night and couldn’t go back to sleep. This morning we took him to Urgent Care hoping they could find the root of the problem. His ears were very red. We got an antibiotic for him and were able to start it immediately. From past experience with ear infections, he should be back to himself by morning. 🙏🏼 It’s difficult when they can’t tell you what’s wrong. We deal with the guilt of thinking maybe we should have taken him to the doctor sooner. It’s so hard to know. All we can do is the best we know how. I know a lot of you can relate to this.
