My grandmothers(didn’t know my grandfathers) were Mammy and Mamaw. They were callled this before I was born. That will be their names till I die.

when I was little we called my mom's mom Nanny. she was Nan until my brother had kids. they called my mom Nan so we started calling the other one Bill

My daughter changed my parents’ names. The nieces/nephews called them mammaw/pappaw. My kids called them Honey & Papa - no idea where that came from.
