📌 The Hyatt hotel we stayed at normally costs $146/ night, but if you use points, it only costs 6,500 points/ night! This was such a great deal for a new hotel with plenty of space and a 4 minute ride to downtown. *** AND this is a Hyatt Place, which you can currently get 2x points by registering for the promo*** 🎉This is better value than cashing those points out for $65!  📌 Generally, with Hyatt, you would have to pay taxes and fees aside from the points. Because of our status, we’re lucky enough to pay $0 out of pocket. 📌 It doesn’t have to be the fanciest getaway to use your points wisely. Some people only use them on hotels because that’s just the easiest way! I completely understand if you don’t want to spend your time finding a great value on your flights. But don’t use them for less than they’re worth! Here, we got 2.5 cents per point (cashing out, only gets you 1-1.5 cents/ point) and booked a week before going. 📌 People will often say that your points are worth 6 or 7 cents per point, but that’s assuming you would have PAID for that really expensive hotel or flight anyway. If I use my points on a $5,000 flight, technically I am getting a 10 cent/ point value.... But, if I never would pay that in the first place, am I really? 🤔 And definitely not if that’s not something you’re interested in. ➡️ In the end, just use those points on what makes you happy! You never know when your points will devalue. And if you don’t have any points, start getting some! This is a great example of how a quick getaway, or an obligatory trip can be covered.
