Most definitely was our marriage! His mother was controlling & had to know all our business - & you had to agree with her about everything. I noticed how he was afraid of her, or of upsetting her, & told him so. He denied it of course. She never liked me from day 1 & I don’t know what I did. She didn’t like him doing anything nice for me. Walking on egg shells around her & it hurt our relationship, which is what I think she wanted. All I would’ve liked was for my husband to have defended me - in front of her. Would have changed everything.😢
