Just go to the county courts and put a lien on his house. Can’t sell without paying the bills/costs of tools or file a claim in Small Claims Court. A Roofer put a lien on my house. I won at small claims court because I kept receipts, photos, videos and a copy of the contract proving they perjured themselves in court! Judge threw out the case. They didn’t go for a jury trial because they would lose. They win typically because homeowners are afraid of representing themselves in small claims court.
