Cast chronicles !!! I think things are finally going in the right direction. Goodbye orange plaster cast. Hello strange looking plastic support boot. I used to feel ashamed of how my feet and legs looked, I thought they were ugly and I hid them away. A few years ago, I found strength I never knew I had, I decided to show my scars, bent toes and deformed feet for all to see. Because why not? Why hide away? If someone stares at me, who cares? I’m proud of all I’ve endured since I was 1 years old, 44 surgeries and endless physio. Falls ending in cuts and broken bones, endless pain and trauma. I cry and I get frustrated, I hide the pain if I can, BUT I smile because I wake up every day, I have an amazing support network and I am living my life to the fullest I can with adaptions. Just because my legs don’t work, why should life pass me by!!? So for the next chapter - weaning myself out of the support brace boot and hope to be back to some sort of normal. I’ll still needs my wheels & crutches but it’ll be so nice to wear a matching pair of trainers! #cmt #footsurgery #plastercast #crutches #feet
