Girl, please get yourself a Showerstick. It's an actual water softener that goes in your shower and you have to add salt to it just like a whole house softener. The reason the other filters don't work is because they are only filtering chlorine. You need ion exchange with salt to soften water and NONE of these other shower filters require salt so they aren't softening anything. I have the Showerstick and it is an absolutely game changer for all of my family's hair!

Wow I can relate to you so much… same, the water really began ruining my hair too.. I also kept my shed hair in a hair bin for 2+ years.. devistated to let it go 🙈 I thought i was beginning to get trichomoniasis - it fell out in clumps and used to really get me down (you seem like you’re dealing with it better than me lol) similar to you (it seems) my hair was my ‘look’.. ended up trimming a lot as it got thinner and thinner. Everntually, fed up I decided to loc it last year (I’d been contemplating for a while). Gurrrllllll, best decision.. thickness is back!!! Just waiting on length. Thanks for sharing ❤️

It’s important if you have that much hard water where you live to exfoliate more often and also using a moisturizing shampoo will help with combat -

Get a Waterstick! It's the only shower head filter that SOFTENS water. All the rest only remove chlorine and sediment. If they say they soften they are lying because you need salt to soften, which you have to use with the Waterstick. Using all of these chelating shampoos and conditioners is a losing battle.

Same happened to me!! The water even wlaffevred my lashes and eyebrows. I switched to washing my hair with jugs of distilled water and resolved the hair loss
