Worked at kindergarten 2 yr ago, where a kid 5 yr old didn't want to eat and couldn't speak. And his parents ordered that we force him to eat.

I’m a nanny and this is so similar their family’s parenting style. The older one will try anything! And they’re always so excited for dinner.
