those flexible hoses only last about 2 years. save yourself the headache and hard pipe the filter to the pool.

My preferred method is to just overshock with liquid chlorine, raises the chlorine level for a day or two and kills the algae, 1gal/10kgal of water

Put a copper 90 degree fitting in the return flow part of your pump and it will help with the algae it’s an anti microbial

They say if you take a large Tylenol bottle and drill some holes in it. And put couple peace of copper pipe in the skimmer it help with algae 🤷♂️
