@learnwithsherlock: LK99 Lore continued. #lk99 #Science #physics #superconductor #superconductivity #researchpaper #physicspaper #interesting #facts #todayilearned #themoreyouknow #themoreyouknow💫 #interestingfacts #edutainment #eli5 #LearnOnTikTok #stem #STEMTok #EduTok #sciencetok #stem #STEMTok #CapCut Continuing the LK99 Lore, watch this so when the movie comes out you could say you were there Last time we saw two papers were published in the same day, and the third author was different The first paper that was submitted by Kwon had Kwon as the third author And the second paper that was submitted 2 hours later by Hyun-Tak Kim had Huyn-Tak Kim as the third author Then Kwon went on to present at a symposium in Seoul without L and K, Lee and Kim, the main creators Then I found a Korean news site where on July 28 Lee says Kwon published the paper to Archive without the permission of the other authors Lee also said Kwon used to be the Chief Technology Officer for Q-Center but he resigned 4 months ago and is no longer related to the company Fun fact on this very same day July 28, a person in the US named Andrew McCalip started to live stream his efforts of replicating LK99 in a private lab named Varda Space Industries Now there are a few theoretical papers that I’m not going to dive into but I just wanted to give you a quick summary A theoretical paper means they aren’t really replicating the material, they are running computer simulations and using theoretical physics to analyze the structure of the material One of the interesting ones that went viral was from a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley national lab I just thought it was really funny, when they published their paper they posted this Long story short this theoretical paper and 5 or 6 more claim that superconductivity is possible with this material One of the other theoretical papers that I found really interesting was from Northwest University in China which is ranked 226 in Material Sciences In their paper they claim diamagnetism without superconductivity is not likely That might not mean anything to you right now, but trust me it will be very important once we get to all the replication videos Then we get to July 31 where the National Physical Laboratory of India released a paper saying hey we replicated LK99 and there is no meissner, there is no levitation, there is no vision, and there is no passion in this material Also on the same day, July 31, Beihang University rank 54 says the same thing about their replication efforts Then we get to August 1 and we finally have our first replication video from Huazhong university ranked 29 They posted this video showing their replicated LK99 Remember when I said they call these materials, USOs, like UFOs, Unidentified Superconductive Objects, Now the video looks cool, but just like UFOs, we don’t know if that’s a superconductor levitating there or just a diamagnetic material, something like Graphite But an interesting fact for you to think about here, this video got 10 million views in China and it was trending number 1, and in the same time in the US you won’t even find anything STEM related on the trending page Then on August 2 another video came out from a researcher in Southeast University ranked 92 where they claimed they got close to zero resistance, but there was no video of the material and this was also faced with skepticism Make sure to like and follow for the next part where we’ll see some really interesting videos of allegedly the Meissner effect from third parties and also a video submitted by Hyun-Tak Kim himself
