Yesterday February 1st 2023,The CDC released a warning  for over the counter eyedrops, EzriCare Artificial Tears after one person has died, 3 people have been permanently blinded and more than 55 people in 12 states have been infected with a drug-resistant bacteria known as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. According to the CDC, most of these people reported using over the counter eye drops EzriCare Artificial Tears. While the CDC investigates this outbreak, the CDC has advised consumers and clinicians to stop using the eye drops immediately. So far, there have been cases reported in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. The person in Washington state died of a blood infection. The CDC has received reports of infections of the cornea, intra ocular fluids, respiratory tract and urinary tract, as well as sepsis. The bacteria in the open bottles could have come from contamination either during use or during the manufacturing process. The CDCs testing of unopened bottles is ongoing. This bacteria can be spread to people in work environments from contact with contaminated hands, equipment, or surfaces. The bacteria can cause infections in the blood, lungs (pneumonia), or other parts of the body. If you have recently used this product and are experiencing redness to the eyes or eyelids, blurred vision, or have excess fluids, you are advised to seek medical care. Ezricare said it hasn't received any reports to the investigation or any word from any regulatory agencies asking for a recall. Meaning that this product is still on the shelves at your local pharmacy and grocery store so beware. Let me know what you think in the comments. #Bacteria #Eyedrops #CDC #Deadly #Infection #12 #States #California #Nevada #Utah #Florida #Connecticut #NewJersey #NewMexico #NewYork #Texas #Washington #Wisconsin #NewNews #BreakingNews #Yesterday #Announced #Warning #KnowledgeIsPower #LetMeKnowWhatYouThink #ForYourPage #4upage #greenscreen
