Perhaps it is an error the artist made, it was originally Elizabeth but the likeness wasn’t accurate, so the artist chooses another pose and re paints

It’s just incredible of what you can find on paintings have they tried looking at it from behind as you maybe able to see the bottom layer of paint?

Probably Elizabeth asked her mother portrait to be celebrated but midway the plan was changed or it was artistic way to represent how anne life was terminated and how Elizabeth reigned over her founda

But by the time Elizabeth was this old in the picture, all portraits of Anne would have been destroyed, right?? Elizabeth I was only 2-3 when Anne died, and Henry VIII (tried to) destroy all evidence of Anne, including portraits. We see Elizabeth I is visibly older in this picture, so by then any portrait of Anne would have been likely destroyed.. therefore I highly doubt this is Anne Boleyn
