@solargoat: Thats the QB2 from QuickBolt part number 17662. Cost about $200 for a box of 25. Few quick facts from the manufacturer: Can be installed with OR without sealent. “Fastest and Easiest way to mount Solar”. Compatible with almost all types of rail. My thoughts: Ive ripped them off roofs, fix some that were leaking, and also installed them. The product its self combined with the fact its passed the standing water test and wind driven rain test without sealent proves that solar doesn’t leaking because of compreson not sealant or water shed. The biggest benefit I see with these are, small, affordable, and quick. Some of the draw backs, they really do require a tight seal. So if the lag screw donest make good contact with the rafter, hits a knot, hits the gusset, slightly off center etc then the attachment will leak. Ive fixed a few leaks with this product and it was always around extra holes being drilled to find the rafter/misses. If you ever been on a 10/12 in the summer or winter with a bag of screws…..

Ironridge to come out with their own version in Q4. We love these, far less leaks than the flashfoot, much more accurate, faster install AND! R&R

My company uses these mostly. We use geo on them everytime, and you miss rafter more than once you flash it before
