Some of the pools are melt-your-skin-off hot and others are just meh. It’s just hard to tell which is which. 😂

Only some of them are dangerous but it’s difficult to tell which is which so best to stay out of them.

Some pools do exceed 200 degrees……. That shallow pool must be cooler but I’ve measured some with an actual thermometer in the field

Main thing even with shallow pools is how you can fall thru a thin piece into the NOT good water underneath.

It’s literally just water. With lots of minerals. It’s hot where it exits the spring but the outer edges arent boiling.

The deer just stumbled upon a trustable pool. They didn't lie to us, in 2016 someone dissolved in one of them before they could even rescue his body....

If I remember the colors indicate how hot the pools are. The bluer the pool the higher the temperature. The red ones are cooler.
