I also have Spina bifida, used to wear specialized shoes also, but had surgery and can now wear normal shoes 😁

I had splints, when I was a teen, omg they hurt so much, far too rigid, and had to wear shoes 3 sizes bigger than normal...

I'm 47 and still wearing splints(afo) on my right.. had calipers up untill I was 7. splints throwing accuracy 97% at 20yards.

my brother has the same condition but still uses crutches. Am in Uganda i please need him to have a surgery to walk normally its affecting him alot

Why were splints a bad idea? My beotger had them but when he was late 30’s ended up not having them as kept breaking.
