@nickhamman5: If you want the best ribs in Johannesburg, you need to come to Thunder Gun pub and steak house, situated along Beyers Naude Tucked in the corner of a strip mall under apartments and hardware stores. Stepping inside you’re greeted by décor that doesn’t seem to have changed in the over 50 years since they first opened in 1968 with a bar filled with memorabilia, character, and draught taps, begging to be poured. They’ve got everything you’d expect from a steakhouse. Rump, sirloin, fillet and T-bone, but we are here today for the ribs! Unlike plenty of steakhouses the rib basting isn’t overly sweet and generic, instead its smokey and flavourful, perfected over time.
