I just recreated your demo with the same screws same nit and same driver and no issues.

the only thing that comes ro mind is the batch of screws had additional hardening during manufacturing

Is the depression in the screw head too shallow due to the white paint? Essentially not allowing enough of the bit in to drive the screw properly
