I respected that June was unreliable narrator but I saw Athena as a bit clueless that her success was natural, I think Athena did know how to tell that kind of story but not just on Asian pain on other peoples pain particularly- going to how Athena took Junes experience to her short story. I thinks he probs focused on Asian pain in her success because her publishing company pushed that as she was the token Asian writer which I felt sympathy for her, but also Athena was happy to do it for the success
