The sweetest haul for our 10 year old community buddy. So, this buddy didn’t get a full sponsor, instead, everyone just sprinkled love to him and it turned out so perfectly! ALL he wanted was a new scooter to ride around on. 🥰 Thank you to everyone that makes this birthday program possible. I wanted to share a little more information here: 1. This is for my local community only at this time. I’ve partnered with local schools and non profits to make this possible. We vet the applicants, make sure the need is read and post approved buddies on our spreadsheet. Local pickup happens at our community pantry. 2. I truly believe this program is necessary in every community, not just mine. I’m working on gathering more information on how to help everyone start this locally as well. I just need to find out some more information before I can spread helpful tips, but I promise I will. In the meantime, find a local non profits near you and see if this is something they’re interested in bringing to life. That’s what I did and the response was fantastic. 🩷 They just help me with the applicants, I help with the resources and coordinating pickups. 🥰 3. If you want to sprinkle love or even take on a full buddy, you can choose any buddies from the list above. If you want to sponsor fully, email me and I’ll put your name by their buddy number. I’ll film all of the complete sponsorships so buddies can see it all come to life, and film pickups when I can. 🩷 My comments are limited right now, and it truly isn’t personal. ❤️ I’m back to working full time while navigating a pretty serious mental health journey. One of the biggest things I’ve had to confront is my unhealthy relationship with my phone and TikTok. For the last two years, I became so consumed by social media that I forgot there was a whole life happening outside of it. The constant checking of comments, worrying about opinions, seeking validation, and feeling the need to explain myself to strangers has taken a tremendous toll on my mental health. Somewhere along the way, I forgot that this is just the internet. Social media is such a tiny glimpse into someone’s life, and watching someone’s videos doesn’t mean we truly know them. I love creating content and sharing kindness, but I no longer want my happiness or peace to depend on what people on the internet think of me, or what I’m doing. I also don’t want to let strangers shape my behavior or choices. Limiting comments is simply one of the boundaries I need to create a healthier relationship with social media. Life is far too short to spend so much of it worrying about what’s happening on a little screen. ❤️
