Did you know Peles Castle has its own power-plant? It’s true! This architectural masterpiece, commissioned by King Carol I in 1873 and completed in 1883, served as the summer residence of the Romanian royal family until 1947. Stepping inside this stunning castle is like entering a fairytale, with 160 rooms adorned with the finest European art, Murano crystal chandeliers, German stained-glass windows, and Cordoba leather-covered walls. Whether you like the luxurious interior or the captivating exterior, the Peles Castle will leave you in awe! Peles Castle was truly ahead of its time, being the first European castle to have electricity, thanks to its very own power plant. It boasts modern amenities like hot and cold running water, central heating, and even a central vacuum system. The attention to detail is extraordinary, with a stain glass roof in the foyer that opens mechanically and a small elevator exclusively for the royal family’s use. Each room is uniquely decorated in various styles, including a mini-Theatre, Music Room from India, Turkish Salon, Great Salon from Italy, and Council Room from Switzerland, among others. The craftsmanship and intricacy of the furniture in the Music Room, gifted by the Maharajah of Kapurtala in India, are simply breathtaking, and the Theater Hall’s ceiling paintings and frescoes were designed by none other than the renowned Austrian artists Gustav Klimt and Frantz Matsch. So, have you visited Peles Castle yet? Video by @ george.andronachi #romania #fyp #viral #trending #lifehacks #Peles #PelesCastle #RomanianCastles
