outlet covers usually come slightly lose. they shift. then u see the previous color.

over here in the UKwe don't have cover plates so once the electric sockets go on we always cut around the sockets 😁

I very rarely do unless their side by side with a small gap in the middle or very near something or if already hit with a brush then I do to clean

I’ll leave them on rentals because they’re usually stuck on from previous paint jobs and will rip the paint off making more work.

takes more time applying tape than just unscrew those 2 tiny screws. And please put the screws back with the vertical line aligned :-)

I had a painter come in one day and do this. I took all the plates off before he came back for day 2 and told him he missed a bunch of spots... Lol

My dad had 40 years and you pull the damn plates and put a piece of tape over the outlet so you don't get speckles on it.

when replacing the plate or working on outlet you tear the wall or is so stuck out breaks. nope always take the plates off.
