I’m in the tree business. Call a local tree company (reputable one) they will drop wood off for you to save on disposal costs. Only hardwoods.

Installed mine about 2 months ago. Having an outside air intake added on next week. We are blessed in Kansas. We have oak and Osage Orange ect.

It’s illegal to have a wood burning fireplace is California . Not sure about a wood stove.

Here in Croatia 1 meter of wood is 60€ and u may think we are rich country but avg. year salary is 9000€ to 12000€ so yeah not great alternative
