@fascinatedbyfungi: Had an amazingly fun visit at MycoLoveFarm in Colorado yesterday. They mainly grow medicinal mushrooms (Reishi, Turkey Tail, Lions Mane, and Cordyceps), but they had tried cooking Cordyceps. So after a little convincing I got Shane ane Michael to crack open a bin of fruiting bodies and chef them up for an out of the world culinary experience. I got to harvest these and eat them after being perfectly cooked, first a dry sauté to remove the moisture, then a little butter and salt to finish. They are surprisingly sweet, chewy, meaty, a little crunchy, and oh so delicious mushroom.
