Cool concept. I wouldn’t add the metal/wire tho. The chances of it falling off and damaging something is not a risk I’ll take as a homeowner. 😅

Do you do anything to seal the paint? I’m worried that when it rains the paint will drop onto the siding. (We just got new siding)

could you use siding hooks? I use siding hooks to hang skeletons and spiders on the house, easy to take down and no glue or holes left behind
