I crocheted one for my son at 37 weeks. My daughter had gotten four blankets from ppl bc she was my 1st. No1 did it for my son. So I did.

Binding is cut from any portion of fabric. Bias tape is cut on the bias (stretchy diagonal), so it's easier to sew around curves. Beautiful quilt! ❤️

bias tape is fabric cut on a 45 degree angle and is flexible, quilt binding is cut at 2.25 or 2.5 in by width of fabric on the straight grain 😊👍🏼

You can also zig zag stitch on the edge of the binding once you are done ans it will hold it down flat 😁

Not sure about it, but I know bias tape is made for stretching. maybe binding isnt, and just for edges?
