North Denmark Nude Beaches North Jutland, Denmark has six well-known clothing-optional beaches, stretching from Tranum Strand on the west coast to a sixty-five-kilometre nude beach just south of Skagen. Denmark doesn't keep an official list of nude beaches because nudity is already legal almost everywhere, so these six spots, including Løkken, Grønnestrand, Kærsgaard Strand, and the connected Skiveren-Tversted beach, are simply where naturists and skinnydippers go by habit. We drove the length of the coast to check out all six, and honestly the variety surprised us, from a split-personality car beach at Tranum to one of the most spectacular coastlines we've filmed, below the Rubjerg Knude lighthouse at Løkken. Like almost everywhere in Denmark, the pattern repeats at every beach here: people near the entrance stay dressed, and the further you walk, the more naked sunbathers you'll find. Tranum Strand has a clothes-free campsite section and a beach split between a car-access side and a naturist side. Grønnestrand is a long, easy, uncrowded stretch that's perfect for an afternoon. Kærsgaard Strand is the quiet, empty alternative right next to Løkken's dramatic dunes and cliffs. Skiveren and Tversted let you drive straight onto the sand.
