So, we tell ourselves to be “SUPER STRICT,” ignore our cravings, and stick to “healthy” foods. ⚠️ But surprise, surprise—the chocolate cravings don’t go away? After using all your mental energy to resist it (while also most likely following a bland and boringgggg diet all week), your “willpower tank” is empty. Suddenly, you find yourself consuming everything in the fridge, downing 1000-2000+ calories of “healthy” food, and then binging on the chocolate you wanted in the first place! You end up realizing it would’ve been better to just have the 600-800 calories worth of chocolate instead of consuming 2500+ calories of food you didn’t even really want. Sound familiar? Restricting certain foods, like chocolate, only makes you crave them more, which inturn often leads to binge eating behaviours. When you learn to stop restricting and start nourishing your body properly, realizing that no foods are off-limits, those intense cravings and binge episodes will begin to disappear!
