I never knew this place could get this big. I’m far left (red board) @paddy.power just in down the right and @max_mcguigan just out of screen, @square_thong was somewhere here to. Broke my board on this before I even paddled for a wave, followed by 4 more of these on the head. Without flotation coming up dizzy and ears felt like they popped. Waves of this consequence everyone tends to look out for each other, which is what we did after getting washed in. Couple of things not mentioned from this day is how windy and consistent it was. You wouldn’t wait more than a few minutes before the next sets come marching in, and howling devil winds getting worse by the minute making it near impossible to catch a wave. Also there was no take off zone, you could sit anywhere in a square acre thinking you’re in the right spot until your scratching back out to sea. Main reason only a few paddle waves got ridden. I managed to catch one of these after a second attempt, waiting an hour and a half but not without another bomb on the head. Thanks to max lending me his board after he decided to start towing. What can I say about this is just wow, what a day to remember! Big props to everyone out there.
