@s.a.b.r.17_: We will naturally start to forgive others once we truly seek to obtain peace. And peace is far greater than money, success, money, etc. Is it by accident that 113 surah start with Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem? The Most Gracious The most Merciful. Why is forgivness and mercy such a big topic in Islam? Could it be that some of the names and attributes of Allah are attributes that will bring us peace the more we try to improve in those that can also be seen as qualities that a human being could have (far as perfect as Allah’s obviously) so more forgiving, more gentle, more generous, more wise, etc… could these qualities bring us more peace once we try to develop them? And if so then wouldn’t being more forgiving the first one we should start with improving? Once we seek and prioritize peace (contentment), everything changes.
